xovist sells two things: the Retro84 Mini Camera and the OrbitBeam Mini Portable Projector, plus a memory card for one and a screen for the other. That is the whole catalogue.

The memory card is not in the box. The Retro84 records to a microSD card, and the card is listed as a separate item because it genuinely isn’t included.

Why two

Two is a small number for a shop, and it is deliberate. It means both product pages could be written properly rather than assembled to fill a category.

The products

  • The Retro84 is about the size of a car key and shoots 1080p stills and video to a microSD card. No app, no account, no pairing.
  • The photos come out lo-fi — blown highlights, loud greens, grain indoors — which is the appeal, and also why it isn’t for everyone.
  • The OrbitBeam throws a picture from roughly 30 inches up to 200 inches, with streaming apps built in, and it wants a dim room to look its best.
  • Neither is a professional tool. Both are cheap enough to be used rather than guarded.

The awkward part

Each page states the limitation before you reach the buy button, because a return costs everyone more than an honest sentence does. The camera’s rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 131 verified buyer reviews, and that figure includes the ones that were not flattering. It is not rounded up. Where a product page reads as unflattering, that is the point rather than an oversight.
